9:30 am at Lairgill for the walk. Then . . .

12:15 pm at The Old Saw Mill Clapham for a light lunch

On Thursday 28th December, Alison Kinder and Colin Stroud take us on a short 3.5 mile Ingleton stroll. Parking is on the Hawes road, above Ingleton, at the bottom of a rough track just before the road bends to the right. We set off steeply up the old stony track (Fell Lane) which is normally a main route up Ingleborough but in our case, before a mile, we turn right through a stone stile. Following field paths and crossing further stiles, we arrive at Clapham Old Road and a path opposite leads to Green Lane where we turn right. A path then leads through a caravan park and on to the A65 where, after a short stretch along the pavement, a further footpath leads through a small wood back onto Hawes Road and the cars. This “Christmas ” walk will, as usual, be followed by lunch.
